NewTek and Panasonic Preview New IP Video Signage Technology at InfoComm 2018
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
06 June 2018
INFOCOMM BOOTH #C1206, LAS VEGAS — June 6, 2018—At InfoComm 2018, NewTek unveiled an NDI® signage demonstration designed to direct any video and audio source to any monitor on a standard gigabit network. Combining the power of NewTek’s NDI Studio Monitor software with industry standard signage allows the addition of another stream as a separate overlay. Monitors and sources can be managed with a web application from any networked laptop, tablet or phone. This demonstration shows the capability to direct any AV source and any overlay to any monitor with ease and efficiency over IP while spotlighting creative possibilities and cost-saving opportunities for AV customers.
“Panasonic professional displays are utilized throughout AV signage installations and we are pleased to showcase a Panasonic signage display in conjunction with NewTek Studio Monitor software at InfoComm in the NewTek booth accepting IP Video sources including content and overlays all on a standard Ethernet network with NewTek’s NDI,” said Delix Joseph T. Alex, product manager of Camera Systems for Panasonic. “This is a great compliment to our other NDI products including our PTZ camera lines and our AV-HLC100 production system.”
“We are excited to demonstrate with Panasonic how multiple content sources can be delivered and managed to signage displays through standard Ethernet,” says Michael Kornet, executive vice president and general manager for NDI at NewTek. “IP video is the right distribution method for AV customers and NewTek NDI is the leading video over IP technology.”
Leading into InfoComm 2018, NewTek continues to innovate and extend NDI as the leading technology for sharing video between software applications and hardware devices on standard Ethernet networks. NDI is royalty free and implemented in thousands of products and used by more than 10 million people worldwide making it the most widely adopted and used IP video standard. Recent announcements of major new NDI integrations by leading companies like Microsoft Skype further solidify this position.
In addition, NewTek will show at InfoComm 2018:
- NewTek NDI PTZ cameras for lecture capture with Mediasite and Panapto NDI integration
- NDI video conferencing solutions with Skype, Zoom, GoToMeeting, Hangouts, WebEx

Sobre o NDI
NDI is in use on millions of devices and allows multiple video systems to identify and communicate with one another over IP. NDI can encode, transmit and receive many streams of high quality, low latency, frame-accurate video and audio in real time. This benefits any network-connected video device, including video mixers, graphics systems, capture cards, and many other production devices. This makes it possible to exponentially increase the number of sources available for live production switching, without directly attaching to devices, changing locations, or investing in expensive, high-bandwidth networks that simply replace SDI-based workflows.
As the leader in IP video technology, NewTek is transforming the way people create network-style television content and share it with the world. From sporting events, Web-based talk shows, live entertainment, classrooms, and corporate communications, to virtually any place people want to capture and publish live video, we give our customers the power to grow their audiences, brands and businesses faster than ever before.
